Steve Townsley

Steve Townsley came to cybersecurity via the Royal Marines and a first in War Studies at King’s College London, then an MSc in software and systems security at Oxford. Since 2007 he has worked across critical national infrastructure, start-ups and finance, including stints leading security at Monzo and TP ICAP, before four years protecting the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team. Today he runs FixPoint Security from London and advises Bain & Company. He likes his security the way he likes his prose: pragmatic, unfussy and aimed at the risks that matter.
